Dr Negar Naderpoor

Negar was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2014, following her endocrinology training at Barwon Health, Flinders Medical Centre, and Monash Health. She was awarded a PhD from Monash University in 2018, with her thesis focusing on the modulation of insulin resistance in obesity and polycystic ovary syndrome.

Negar is passionate about integrating clinical practice with research and translating scientific findings into improved medical care. She is a Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Research and Education in Diabetes and Obesity at the University of Melbourne and a Consultant Endocrinologist at Monash Health, where she provides both inpatient and outpatient care in diabetes and gestational diabetes. She is also actively involved in supervising PhD candidates and medical students.

Her broad clinical and research interests include the use of technology in diabetes management, gestational diabetes and diabetes in pregnancy, as well as thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and bone disease. She is committed to advancing multidisciplinary approaches to care and improving outcomes for people living with complex endocrine conditions.
